    College of Engineering, Guindy (CEG), Anna University, Chennai – 600 025, being one of the premier institutions of higher education in India, takes pride in having produced engineers of the top caliber. A testimony to the green and lush institute’s outstanding quality and excellence is its consistent presence among the top ten positions in multiple rankings of engineering colleges pan India. Established in 1794, the iconic college has been nurturing exceptional talents in science, technology, business, and engineering. Roots of CEG date back to May 1794 when it was formed as a School of Survey. With close ties to industry, CEG’s Mechanical Department has excellent research practices and multiple extra-curricular options for the students. CEG provides opportunities for ample growth for every individual student and it promotes collaborative practices too. 

 

     The Mechanical Engineering Department is one of the oldest departments of College of Engineering, Guindy (CEG), as well as in the country. Established in the year 1894, CEG’s Mechanical Department has been providing excellent learning and research opportunities for undergraduate and post graduate students, in addition to providing consultancy services to the multiple industries.

   

     It is proposed to conduct the First International Conference on Materials, Design and Manufacturing Process during Feb 17- Feb 19, 2016 (ICMDM 2016) at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, College of Engineering Guindy, Anna University, Chennai – 25. The purpose of this inter-disciplinary conference is to bring together the leading academic scientists, researchers and research scholars to exchange and share experiences and research findings about all aspects of mechanical engineering. It also provides a inter-multi-trans disciplinary platform for researchers, practitioners and academicians to present and discuss the most recent trends and challenges encounterd and the solutions adopted in the field of mechanical engineering.
