About Andhra Mahila Sabha
Padma Vibhushan Dr Durgabai Deshmukh, the mother of social service is the founder of Andhra Mahila Sabha and a number of institutions under its banner. Establishing these institutions, she spear-headed a relentless crusade against illiteracy, ignorance, social injustice against women. Under the umbrella of Andhra Mahila Sabha, several Educational institutions, Hospitals, Health-care centre, Rehabilitation centre, Social welfare organizations, Legal-aid cells etc. Are now functioning in and outside the state of Andhra Pradesh. Andhra Mahila Sabha is a unique institution dedicated to the empowerment of women.
