Regional Cancer Centre (RCC), Thiruvananthapuram, established in 1981 by the Government of Kerala and Government of India is an internationally recognized centre conducting a wide range of cancer research. The institute has state-of-the-art facilities for cancer diagnosis, treatment, palliation and rehabilitation We cater to the population of the State of Kerala and the adjoining parts of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. The Division of Radiation Physics at RCC, Trivandrum was established in the year 1982. The division is equipped with 5 linear accelerators , a telecobalt unit, a remote after-loading HDR unit, a conventional Simulator, a 4D-CT Simulator and state-of-the-art dosimetry devices. Our institute has the maximum number of radiotherapy machines in the state of Kerala and provides treatment for around 400 patients daily.
